Already recognized for his leadership in transportation, new Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley said Monday that he plans to raise the county's profile through work on issues such as air quality, healthcare and homeland security.
Whitley, who was sworn in Monday, said he has not staked out positions but plans to work more closely with state and federal lawmakers on issues important to residents.
